Twin turbo v6, 400hp estimated, 6 speed manual standard.

So it’ll make 500bhp with a tune... sweet!

Not bad, actually, kind of bucks the trend for all new cars being busy, overstyled messes. Not sure about the gaping grille, but I suspect that can be sorted by the aftermarket easily enough.

Wow, they really just slapped another body kit on a 370Z and called it a new car. At least the turbos will muffle the terrible VQ noises.

Watching the live reveal, it’s very long on design inspiration and short on any technical details beyond the basic engine configuration and IT TOTALLY STILL HAS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION YOU GUYS!

T-tops
and a rear wiper would be nice

That's on the same platform isn't it

The actual roofline (not the roofline that chrome strip is trying to sell) is clearly that of the 370Z.

I actually like it. That grille would be nice bisected along the bottom but I don’t hate it. And that gaping mouth will probably be less egregious in person.
And that interior is refreshingly simple. I actually like the way they haven’t way ov erstyled it and filled it with chintzy plastic.
Though those headlights will take some getting used to. It's like an angry Jeep face for a classic Datsun's headlight cutouts, but it goes with the rest of the design.

I mean that seemed to be what the rumors were pointing at. I’m a bit surprised anyone expected more. It’s clear the niche isn’t worth enough to them to develop a new clean sheet design.

Look at that beltline. Identical.

If the base engine is from the RedLine Infiniti model, then it’s the VR30DDTT. Sure, it’s an evolution of the VQ architecture, but....
Anyway, a bummer they are cutting corners to get a “new” Z on the market, especially with those base Infiniti G37 seats. But at the very least, in no way can it be referred to as a Zupra

And the 370Z is a lot of carry-over from the 350Z dating back to 2002 (with the final design frozen and signed off in 2000). I guess the Z-car is shaping up to be the modern Panther platform.

Ugh its so ugly. At least it has 400 hp now so hopefully weight and price wise it can hang with the big boys again. Although I aint gonna hold my breath.

I like that there are slats in the rear lights. Not as distinctive as Mustang or Skyline lights, but until the 350Z every Z had slats and it wasn’t an accident.

Well it looks more like an S30 that anything they have made since.

I think it looks freakin’ rad. I’m about this.
